HC Deb 26 July 1976 vol 916 cc48-9W
Mr. Christopher Price

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what estimate he has made of the impact of the Sex Discrimination Act on the sex balance of mixed schools.

Miss Margaret Jackson

It is too early to assess the possible effects of those provisions of the Act which relate to school admissions, which will come into effect next month. There seems to be no reason to expect any general effect in a particular direction in the immediate future.
