HC Deb 26 July 1976 vol 916 c4W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Lord President of the Council if he will abandon his intention to use half of the Government's legislative time in the House of Commons next Session for devolution in order that it may be used for measures to combat unemployment.

Mr. Foot

Devolution legislation and the battle against unemployment are not alternatives. The Government are determined to introduce the devolution Bill at the beginning of next Session and will continue to give the highest priority to action to combat unemployment.
