HC Deb 12 July 1976 vol 915 cc53-4W
Dr. Edmund Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what are the consequences for the cash limits set for expenditure by his Department in 1976–77 of the decision to set up a new counselling service for small firms.

Mr. Varley

This service will involve extra expenditure estimated at £0.1 million in 1976–77. As the decision to provide the service was made after the 1976–77 Estimates and the related cash limits had been drawn up, they did not include any allowance for this expenditure and the limit on Block DI2 is adjusted accordingly. The increase is within the planned total of expenditure for 1976–77
