HC Deb 12 July 1976 vol 915 cc11-2W
Mr. Michael Marshall

asked the Lord President of the Council what percentage of House of Commons publications are produced from recycled paper.

Mr. Charles R. Morris

I have been asked to reply.

House of Commons' publications are printed on paper made by a number of different paper mills. Some of it contains various percentages of recycled fibre, but it would be impossible to identify which grade of paper had been used for individual publications.

On the general question of the use of recycled fibre, I would draw the hon. Member's attention to the statement I made on 5th April 1976—[Vol. 909, c. 30]—about the steps taken by HMSO to implement the recommendation of the Waste Management Advisory Group.
