HC Deb 12 July 1976 vol 915 c42W
Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the police authorities and chief officers who do not keen up-to-date records of the policemen wounded or seriously injured on duty in their areas.

Dr. Summerskill

It is for chief officers to decide what records they need to keep, in addition to those required by Police Regulations. I understand that serious injuries are normally recorded on the officer's personal record, but few chief officers have found it necessary to maintain a separate list.
