§ Mr. Mawbyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the extensive watering in progress in New Palace Yard on 5th July is in accord with Her Majesty's Government's policy of 25W conservation as outlined in the statement of the Minister for Planning and Local Government on 2nd July.
§ Mr. ArmstrongBefore continuing the watering, my Department took advice from the Thames Water Authority, which informed us that there were no restrictions in force in the authority's area. Should the position alter, its advice will be followed.
