§ Mr. Gowasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what further steps he proposes to take in order to prevent arms, ammunition and explosives reaching terrorists in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe security forces will continue to exercise the utmost vigilance in preventing the illegal possession and movement of arms, ammunition and explosives in and into Northern Ireland. Already this year 432 weapons, and more than 35,000 rounds of ammunition and 17,800 lb. of explosive have been recovered. Other large finds have been made in the Republic of Ireland.
