asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what proposals he has for trunking the A21 road in Sussex and Kent.

Mr. Marks

The Department is in consultation with the Kent County Council on a proposal to give trunk road status to the A21 road, south-east from the point where it joins the projected M25 route near Sevenoaks.
