HC Deb 29 January 1976 vol 904 c318W
Mrs. Winifred Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the fact that the EEC Regional Fund for allotment for 1975 has not been exhausted and that further projects can be approved for aid from the sum remaining in the 1975 Fund, he will present suitable Scottish projects for approval for such aid; and how many projects he can present now, duly prepared for approval.

Mr. William Ross

The United Kingdom's allocation from the Regional Development Fund for 1975 was approximately £35 million. This has been fully taken up by the grants for United Kingdom projects announced by the Commission on 22nd October and 18th December of £8.5 million and £27.06 million respectively. Of these amounts Scotland received £9.85 million—27 per cent. The first applications, which include Scottish projects, for 1976 allocation have already been submitted. Further applications are in preparation.
