§ Mr. MaclennanAt the present rate of subsidy of £4.06 per sack of flour the annual cost of the bread subsidy is estimated at £64 million. The total costs of administration are now estimated to be of the order of £650,000 on an annual basis or approximately 1p for every £1 of subsidy.
