§ 48. Mr. Hoosonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many council house tenants faced orders for possession of their houses last year; and how many occupants of agricultural tied cottages faced orders for possession during the same period.
§ Mr. ArmstrongThe figures are not available in the form requested. However, during the first half of 1975 some 13,400 orders for possession were granted in England and Wales to social-type landlords—that is, local authorities, registered housing associations and new town development corporations. During the same period there were 668 orders for possession made in the case of agricultural tied cottages; that is at about four times the rate in respect of social-type landlords.
