§ Mr. EnnalsThe following states claim either a 200-mile fishery limit or a 200-mile territorial sea including jurisdiction for fisheries
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, E1 Salvador, Iceland, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Uruguay.Ships from the United Kingdom or dependent territories have not fished in recent years within the 200-mile fishery limit claimed by any States other than Iceland. The Government have opposed unilateral extensions of fisheries limits in advance of the outcome of the United Nations Law of the Sea Conference. The policy of Her Majesty's Government is to support the established rights of United Kingdom fishermen to fish off Iceland, rights which the International Court of Justice has recognised.
