§ Mr. Welshasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will consider introducing certificated training courses in falsework to meet the needs of the Scottish construction industry; and if he will consult with the appropriate educational bodies on these matters.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that the Construction Industry Training Board is studying urgently the indications of the Final Report of the Advisory Committee on Falsework—the Bragg Committee—which was published on 27th January 1976. The CITB will be assessing the requirements for the construction industry in Great Britain and, in doing this, it will be consulting all appropriate interests.
