HC Deb 09 February 1976 vol 905 cc54-5W
Mr. Temple-Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many flight paths there are for low-flying military aircraft over the area of the old county of Herefordshire now a part of Hereford and Worcester; and from what airfields aeroplanes engaged in such flying come.

Mr. John

Subject to the restrictions which apply, pilots are encouraged to plan their own flight paths when authorised to conduct low flying over the general area of the old county of Herefordshire. The number of flight paths cannot, therefore, be defined. The area may be used by aircraft from any Service airfield in the United Kingdom, though such use is not, in total, allowed to become disproportionate.
