§ Miss Joan LestorIn September 1975 there were 64 sixth form colleges in 29 English local education authorities. The distribution of these is as follows:

At the same time there were nine schemes in operation in England where arrangements for sixth form education were made solely at colleges of further education. The distribution of these is as follows:
