§ 34. Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what proposals he will be making to the 1977 Belgrade Conference.
§ Mr. TomlinsonHer Majesty's Government's principal objective at the 1977 Belgrade meetings will be to ensure that a thorough and realistic evaluation is carried out of the implementation of the provisions of the Final Act by all signatory States. This task was clearly laid down in the Helsinki Final Act. We also look to the Belgrade Review Con-196W ference to consider ways in which the process of improvement of relations between the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe participating States can be carried forward in the future. We are carefully considering both these aspects in the preparatory work on which we are now engaged with our European partners and members of the Alliance.
