asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what rates of dependency benefits are payable after retirement age to those who have previously established entitlement to non-contributory invalidity pension.

Persons over retirement age with title to non-contributory invalidity pension receive dependency benefit at a flat rate of £5.60 for a wife or other adult dependant, £7.45 for a first child and £5.95 for any other child.
