HC Deb 13 December 1976 vol 922 cc539-40W
Mr. Hall-Davis

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make arrangements for the Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee to consider urgently and report upon the safety and pollution aspects of the proposals by British Nuclear Fuels for the construction of plant at Windscale which have recently been the subject of a planning application.

Mr Shore

In view of my present position in relation to the planning application I cannot at present comment on this suggestion. I have promised to make a report to the House, and I hope to do so before long.
