§ Mr. Guy BarnettThe information is not readily available, but from a sample taken last year, covering payments by the GLC, three London borough councils and 17 other local authorities in England and Wales, and including payments by central Government, the average for the areas of the London authorities was just over £350 and for those of other authorities just under £320.
