HC Deb 13 December 1976 vol 922 c526W
22. Mr. Pardoe

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what was the seasonally adjusted level of industrial production for the period most affected by the three-day week in 1974 and for the latest period for which figures are available.

Mr. Cryer

Based on 1970=100 the seasonally adjusted Index of Industrial Production stood at 102.3 in September 1976 compared with 102.5 in January 1974. Adjusting for the effects of stock changes output was slightly higher in September this year than in January 1974.
