§ Mrs. Winifred Ewingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on representations which he has received from the construction industry regarding the coming depression in house building; and if he will take steps to alleviate the matter.
§ Mr. FreesonThere are frequent meetings with the construction industry on housing and other issues, the latest of which was the special joint meeting of the National Consultative Council of the Building and Civil Engineering Industries and the Construction Industry Liaison Group on 7th December, at which there was a full discussion of current problems. A number of suggestions made by the industry are being considered.
