§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will carry out a six-month exercise on the basis of the proposed regulations for health and safety representatives and committees at his headquarters so as to ascertain the cost involved.
§ Mr. ConcannonNo. Although new legislation on health and safety is under consideration there is at present no legislation in Northern Ireland under which such regulations could be introduced. If and when the necessary enabling legislation is enacted the matter will be further considered.
