HC Deb 09 December 1976 vol 922 c303W
Mr. Ted Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received from local authorities organisations, associations and individuals objecting to his proposals for the development of 365 acres of land at Seal Sands, Teesside.

Mr. Guy Barnett

To date, a little over 400 objections and representations have been received following the recent publication of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State's proposed modifications to the Teesside, East Cleveland and West Cleveland structure plans. The majority relate to the remaining un-reclaimed area of Seal Sands, and of these a large proportion is from individuals objecting to the proposals.

Mr. Ted Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will postpone the date for receiving objections to his proposals for the development of 365 acres of land at Seal Sands, Teesside.

Mr. Guy Barnett

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State does not propose to extend the period during which objections and representations may be made about his proposed modifications to the Cleveland structure plans, including those relating to the remaining unreclaimed area of Seal Sands. If my hon. Friend is aware of any problem, perhaps he would let me know.
