HC Deb 09 December 1976 vol 922 c299W
Mr. Critchley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will encourage the creation of a new forum to seek acceptable arms control agreements for Euro-strategic nuclear weapons systems.

Mr. Tomlinson

In general, I would wish to consider with our allies any new method of pursuing acceptable arms control agreements. At present, however, the most important need is for agreements in the existing Strategic Arms Limitation Talks and Mutual and Balanced Force Reduction negotiations.
