HC Deb 09 December 1976 vol 922 c343W
Mrs. Wise

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the figure of geriatric beds in Coventry, which in a reply on 6th August was incorrectly given as 452, and then corrected by letter to 352, includes beds in the new geriatric hospital in Coventry which is still standing substantially empty after being completed in January; and, if so, how many beds there have been counted.

Mr. Moyle

The 352 geriatric beds available in Coventry include 56 beds opened so far in the new geriatric unit at Walsgrave Hospital, but not the 140 beds still to be brought into use.
