§ Mr. David Huntasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will specify the number of large companies which participate in the Board of Inland Revenue's quarterly inquiry into company profits and the method by which they are selected.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 6th December 1976; Vol. 922, c. 63], gave the following information:
At present about 350 company groups and single companies co-operate in the inquiry, which is on a voluntary basis. Companies originally approached were selected from those whose annual profits were £100,000 or more.
