§ Mr. ShoreThe radioactive wastes discharged to the environment would be subject to authorisation by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and myself under the Radioactive Substances Act 1960. We should want to be satisfied not only that 223W the total discharges were within internationally accepted levels but that they were as far below these levels as was reasonably practicable.
