§ 43. Mr. Hardyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his estimate of the cost which will be faced in 1977 by a family of four persons for the collection and disposal of effluent from a cesspool.
§ Mr. MarksThe cost will be affected by the size of the cesspool, and the frequency with which it has to be emptied, as well as by the costs incurred by the local authorities in collection and the water authority in disposal and by the charging policies of the two authorities. Because of the resulting wide variation in charges no realistic estimate of likely costs can be made.
