asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many men and women are unemployed in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region.

At July 1976, 91,876 males and 34,368 females were registered as unemployed in the region.

At June 1976, the most recent date for which information by industry is available, 1,263 males and six females who last worked in fishing were registered as unemployed in the region. The industrial analysis is based on the Standard Industrial Classification which does not identify those in industries subsidiary to fishing.
