Mr. Kenneth Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many taxpaying recipients of child interim benefit and FIS have followed the advice of the National Council for One-Parent Families and given up their claim for child interim benefit after the FIS uprating came into effect on 20th July 1976, because they would then have been worse off if they continued to claim.
