Mr. Hal Miller

asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he now has any plans for the imposition of import controls on cars coming into Great Britain; and, if so, from what countries and for how long.

Mr. Dell

pursuant to the reply [Official Report, 26th July 1976; Vol. 916, c.68],gave the following information:

I have no plans for the imposition of import controls, but I am keeping a careful watch on the trend of imports for cars into the United Kingdom.
