HC Deb 02 August 1976 vol 916 cc597-8W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the figure on which the two percentage points referred to in his statement of 22nd July,Official Report, column 2017, will be based.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

Employers' national insurance contributions are currently paid on gross weekly earnings with an upper limit of £95 per week. Those employees earning below £13 per week are excluded. Both limits will be reviewed in the autumn. The additional two percentage points will be on the same basis.
