HC Deb 02 August 1976 vol 916 c630W
Mr. Ioan Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what criteria he takes into account in determining unfair competition to a British manufacturer from a country which has no domestic market for comparison.

Mr. Meacher

If the unfair competition appears to be due to dumping or subsidisation which is causing or threatening material injury to an established British industry, the fair market price would be determined by reference to the price of comparable imports from any third country or the cost of production in the country of origin with a reasonable addition for selling costs and profit.
