asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in theOfficial Report the value of the average payment made to households headed by (a) a pensioner and (b) those below pensionable age, respectively, by the Supplementary Benefits Commission in 1975.

Information is not available in the form requested by the hon. Member. The average weekly payment of supplementary benefit to persons of pension age—of whom the great majority had also a retirement pension—was £5.52 in December 1975: the corresponding figure for persons under pension age £14.87.
