§ Lord James Douglas-Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will bring forward legislation to clarify the position for rating purposes of offshore oilfields, oil rigs and installations.
§ Mr. MillanMost of the oilfields and installations are situated far out at sea and the Government consider that they ought not to be liable for local rates. It is intended to introduce legislation to clarify the position.
