Mr. Alan Lee WilliamsRegulations relating to the safety of cosmetic products will be prepared as soon as the proposed EEC directive on cosmetics is adopted. Work on the directive is now in its final stages and I hope it will be possible to circulate draft domestic regulations for comment later this year. In a number of important cases the regulations will require the presence of ingredients to be indicated on the label as well as precautions to be observed during use. These labelling requirements will apply particularly to sensitisers.
