§ Mr. Georgeasked the Prime Minister if he will promise closer integration of the responsibilities of Departments and other authorities with regard to the control of industrial hazards, and in particular chemical hazards.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Health and Safety Commission was set up in October 1974 to achieve this purpose. It has already set up a Committee of Experts on Major Hazards and has outlined proposals for a Toxic Substances Committee, Dangerous Substances Committee and Medical Advisory Committee.
