asked the Secretary of State for Trade what action he proposes to take in view of the recently published figures relating to the noise level at takeoff and landing of the Concorde at London Airport.

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 20th October 1975], gave the following information: Following interdepartmental discussion, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry is arranging as a matter of urgency for the manufacturers to study the results of the recent endurance flight trials to see if there is any possibility of further reductions in noise levels being achieved by modifications to operational procedures.
