§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for Industry what discussions his Department is having with trade organisations on the question of finding substitutes for the products of sperm whales; and what progress is being made in those discussions.
§ Mr. KaufmanOfficials have had discussions recently with trade and research associations. These discussions will continue as necessary. Research into substitutes already being undertaken by research bodies and individual companies may be supplemented as a result of these discussions.
