§ Mr. Tom Kingasked the Secretary of State for Industry what is the latest level of expenditure already made and promised under Section 8 of the Industry Act 1972.
§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieAs at 1st October 1975 offers of assistance to projects paid or outstanding under Section 8 of the Industry Act 1972 amounted to £32 million. In addition, guarantees were in force with a maximum contingent liability of £120 million.
Expenditure under the Wool Textile Industry Scheme amounted to £4.8 million. No expenditure has so far been incurred under the other industry schemes announced recently.
