Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a further statement of his policy in regard to the sale of council houses to sitting tenants, in light of his recent circular to local authorities on the need to make greater provision for owner-occupation.

Banding of awards in the Ordinary grade examination was introduced in 1973. The figures given for passes in 1973 and 1974 are on the basis that awards in bands A-C are the equivalent of pass awards in previous years. A further 73,867 presentations in 1973 and 106,234 presentations in 1974 resulted in awards in bands D or E.
