HC Deb 28 November 1975 vol 901 c336W
Mr. Lawrence

asked the Attorney-General what steps have been taken to have the inheritance claims of those who are not dependants but have long supported or looked after a deceased person examined by the Law Commission, in accordance with the proposal made by the Solicitor-General on 29th July 1975.

The Attorney-General

The Law Commission already has a full programme of work and my noble Friend does not contemplate inviting it to consider this matter, which is not within any of its existing work. I do not think that the observations of my hon. and learned Friend on 29th July can fairly be construed as a proposal to do so, nor were they so intended. My noble Friend will, however, consider any representations which may be made to him about this aspect of the law.
