§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has requested or received details of the research being carried out in the United States of America on the effect of fluorocarbon on the ozone layer of the atmosphere; and, if so, what conclusions he has reached about the research results.
§ Mr. Denis HowellMy Department is aware of the research at present being carried out in the United States of America, and receives details of results as they become available. These will be taken into account in the course of our current appraisal of the possible effects of chlorofluorocarbons.
