HC Deb 12 November 1975 vol 899 c765W
Mr. Corbett

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department on what date, and by whom, the Bridewell Police Station and Dale Street Police Station were inspected to ensure that general conditions were satisfactory; and whether he will make a statement.

Dr. S. Summerskill

The Merseyside Police Authority is responsible for the maintenance of the Liverpool Bridewell. It was inspected by Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary, accompanied by the Chief Constable, on 5th August, 1975. A substantial scheme for improving general conditions in the building was started in October 1974 and should be completed by June 1976.

The premises in Dale Street are no longer used as a police station.
