What has been the approximate cost of maintenance work carried out on the Channel Tunnel project since its abandonment on 21st January and what is the forecast of the annual cost of maintenance.
§ Baroness BIRKNecessary safeguarding, land reclamation, and associated work should be complete by the end of the year. The net, once and for all, cost will be about £1.1 million. Thereafter, the maintenance of the workings is expected to cost about £7,500 a year.
