asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will take steps to simplify the conditions of the Farm and Horticulture Development Scheme, EEC Directive 159; and if he will make a statement.

Measures to simplify the Farm and Horticulture Development Scheme are under consideration. We hope to present the necessary legislation to Parliament early in the new year.
