HC Deb 10 November 1975 vol 899 c381W
34. Mr. Rose

asked the Attorney-General whether, in the light of further evidence submitted to him, he will now refer to the Director of Public Prosecutions, with a view to their prosecution, those responsible for aiding and abetting, counselling and procuring offences which have resulted in the conviction of members of the Unification Church, United Family Enterprises Limited and Cartographer Crafts Limited.

The Solicitor-General

All the evidence submitted to my right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General has been passed to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Only one set of proceedings known to my right hon. and learned Friend has resulted in convictions, namely, proceedings at Newquay on 15th April 1975 for breaches of street collections regulations. One individual was subsequently prosecuted for aiding, abetting, counselling and procuring, but he was acquitted.
