asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many production workers were recruited at the ROF, Birtley, during each of the months January to September 1975; how many were female; how many were young persons; and into which trade classifications the total number fell.

The numbers of production workers recruited at ROF Birtley between January and September 1975 were:

None of these was female or under 20; the total of 145 was made up of 115 machinists, 15 press operators and 15 foundry workers.
