HC Deb 10 November 1975 vol 899 c464W
Mr. Mather

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he has received representations from the Institute of Professional Civil Servants about the proposed move of staff from the Government offices in Surbiton to Glasgow; and what assurances he has been able to give.

Mr. William Rodgers

I met representatives from several aeronautical quality assurance directorate laboratories, including members of the Institution of Professional Civil Servants from AQD Surbiton, on 7th October 1975 to discuss the proposed dispersal of quality assurance staffs to the Glasgow area. We had a useful exchange of views. I emphasised that no decision had been taken as to which quality assurance staff should be dispersed and I gave an assurance that further discussion would take place with the staff associations and the trades unions concerned; this remains the position.
