HC Deb 10 November 1975 vol 899 c408W
Mr. Stephen Ross

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment why it is necessary to replace all the trees recently planted in New Palace Yard.

Mr. Armstrong

It was agreed with the Chairman of the Accommodation and Administration Sub-Committee of the Services Committee that the larger trees of the species—Tilia euchlora, which does not exude honey-dew—would be preferable to the common limes already in the Yard. The existing trees will be planted in the Royal Parks.
